Oscars 2013

As I am sure you all know The Oscars were this past sunday. All I really want to talk about are the dresses, so that is exactly what I am going to do. So lets gets started!

I generally love Anne Hathaway and all that she wears, but not this Prada number. The darting on bosom of the dress creates a very distracting illusion that she is freezing. Aside from her dress, her hair and makeup is flawless. So points for that I suppose.
Perfect. Halle Berry is perfect in this Versace gown. She said she wanted to look like a bond girl and she nailed it.  I also think it was major come back from the dreadful dress she wore to the Golden Globes.
K.Stew please put some effort in to how you look, especially when you are going to the Oscars.  The  Reem Acra Haute Couture dress isn't so bad but I think she should brush her hair before she walks out the door. Come on.
Salma Hayek is is the epitome of glamour in this black column dress by Alexander McQueen.  I just love a high neck line especially when it is executed perfectly like this.
"A" for effort. I really love that Helen Hunt wore a dress by H&M for sustainability awareness as H&M partners with Global Green . I just wish that she ironed it before she got to the event. She also wore $700, 000 worth of jewelry that evening.

Congrats to Jennifer Lawrence on her award and to the fact she she looks divine in the Spring 2013 Dior gown. Dior could not have chosen a better new face than this girl. She was made for their gowns.
Jane Fonda. I know she has been doing the whole Red Carpet thing much longer than I have been doing the wanna be fashion blogger thing but, what was she thinking wearing that color. The style of this Versace dress and the metallic accent at the waist are both are perfect for her. But THE COLOR. I just can't get past it, it is far to saturated.

Sunday.

I am going to  start posting a quote on Sundays, as a little something nice to start the work week off right. I got the idea from this blog . I just really like the idea and it is just as much for me as it is for my very few readers.
This quote I feel is something that we all should remember and keep and mind.

"Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it."

Sun - Spectacles

Stunning Sun - Spectacles

Hey all!

Here I am again posting with Polyvore! What else in new? I am kinda addicted to making collages with that website. It makes me feel artistic and crafty which I am 100% NOT in real life.

Anyhow, while I patiently wait for spring to arrive lets talk about sunglasses. Have you been on the lookout for the perfect set of shades like I have been? Circular, over-sized, mirrored, cat-eye, and decorated are only a few of the trending styles.
On the list above are a few funky shades that I adore. I am actually more than obsessed with number 3. These Miu Miu beauties go for a mere $365.00 that I don't have. The metal bridge and the geometric shape, to me, are a ultra modern take on the classic cat-eye. I very recently bought myself a pair of sunglasses with a metal bridge like number 3, but the lenses are more shaped like number 2. They are unlike any pair of sunglasses that I have ever bought before, and I love them. I am still shocked that I even bought them for myself. I am sure they will make an appearance on the blog soon! In the mean time though I am on the lookout for a killer pair of cat-eye sunglasses. If you look ay my post from January 17th, the decorated cat-eyes there I would love to own. So I am keeping my eyes peeled for a pair like that. If by any chance you know where I can get a pair similar to these please comment below, and don't forget to follow!

Better Late Than Never.

In a blink of an eye it is already February. And with that I just want to let the few people who look at this my plans, goals, and dreams for the rest of 2013. Here they are in no particular order.

1. Continue to be on the Deans List. (That would be 4 semesters in a row!)

2. Grow this blog by at the very least 100% and as of right now I would need 2 more official followers to do that. So follow away and make my dreams come true.

3. Make money off of my Blog.

4. Manage my time more wisely.

5. To be more giving with my free time.

6. Make connections.

7. Travel. ( I a planning a trip to Australia at the moment.) If you are a student go here for really affordable plane tickets.

8. Mature in my personal style.

Happy Valentine's Day
